Easy Access to Remote Environments

Researchers are able to collect data in remote areas much easier with a drone. In the past, this meant hiring an airplane or helicopter at a steep price or long wait times for satellite imagery. For a fraction of the time and cost, a drone can be deployed from a car, boat, or ATV and flown for several kilometers to collect data that may otherwise be inaccessible. Vision Aerial drones have a flight range of up to 16 km and come with a hard-sided, waterproof Pelican case for easy transport.

Repeat Experiments Consistently

Drones pre-programmed with a flight may perform repeat data collection missions. Vision Aerial drones come with mission planning software that uses GPS waypoints. The operator sets a starting point and then either selects a default survey pattern or manually defines the flight path. When absolute precision is a must, an RTK base station is added to the system. To compare datasets over time, re-deploy the saved mission.
