SwitchBlade-Elite

  • These manuals intend to inform and educate the user on how to properly and effectively control, fly, and utilize the full functionality of your Vision Aerial UAS. It is not recommended to operate and fly your Vision Aerial UAS without first reading and understanding the information and guidelines presented in this document.

    Requirement for Compliance

    • Shall: Application of a procedure is mandatory.

    • Should: Application of a procedure is recommended.

    • May: Application of a procedure is optional.

    Requirement for Landing

    • Land as soon as practicable: Extended flight is not recommended, duration is at the discretion of the operator.

    • Land as soon as possible: Land at the nearest safe site where a landing can be made.

    Connector Interface

    • New Fischer connector as the primary connector for all payloads.

    • Both HDMI cables are now accessible – one in the back for primary payloads and one in the front for FPV cameras.

    • Barrel connector in the front for FPV camera power.

    As with any multi-rotor aircraft, the SwitchBlade-Elite and Vector are precise and technical machines. Novice pilots should invest sufficient time on a flight simulator and seek training from an experienced pilot before operation. The product manual and a flight simulator are no substitute for training with an experienced pilot, particularly when it comes to learning how to safely operate your Vision Aerial UAS. Novice pilots should never fly without the supervision of an experienced pilot.

    ✔ Always check the UAS and its components prior to operation.

    ✔ Always maintain a safe distance from the UAS when in use.

    ✔ Never attempt to touch the UAS when the rotors are moving.

    ✔ It is strongly recommended not to fly the UAS over or around people, near power lines, or any other difficult-to-see obstacles.

    ✔ Never fly the UAS near manned aircraft of any kind.

    ✔ Never fly with any rotors that have visible imperfections or damage.

    ✔ Always keep children and animals a safe distance away from the UAS when in use.

    ✔ Only use rotors supplied by Vision Aerial that are designed for use on your Vision Aerial UAS.

    ✔ Always remove the rotors when making a hardware change to prevent rotor strikes in the event of unintentional motor starts.

  • Vector 2.5 Release Notes, 8/1/24

    Vector 2.5 is now available for general use. This update includes new extended feet for improved stability, an Ethernet connection to the air unit, and a refined connector interface with Fischer Connector, along with dedicated power and video input ports. Other enhancements include FPV power and video input ports, air unit relocation, standardized FPV camera mounting, and larger grommets for easier wire routing, ensuring a smoother and more efficient user experience.

    Vision Aerial Flight Deck 3.0 is now available for general use. This new release includes an updated user interface, enhanced terrain database, new safety features, and improvements to interoperability and fleet management.

    What’s New

    • Overall refresh and improved UI

    • RemoteID now incorporated into Flight Deck

    • New Geofence functionality with inclusion / exclusion zones

    • Fixed Terrain database

    • Ability to adjust aircraft configuration based on payload selection
